Taylor

Taylor Swift has become a rare pop phenomenon: A star who strayed completely from traditional music into pop culture, becoming the pop icon of the future that will be around forever, and will conquer every corner of the globe. Swift removed her roots in the country like they were a second skin to reveal that she was arguably the smartest pop-oriented singer/songwriter of her time, one who could harness the mood of the moment and personalize it and just as impressively perform the reverse. Swift's early songs, including her neo celebration of Tim McGraw, showed off the talents of her. But her 2008 album Fearless showed a singer-songwriter who was discovering herself and was able to draw a wide audience. The album was hugely successful not just in America with six singles were declared platinum, on top of Top Ten hit songs Love Story and you Belong with Me. But it also performed well around the globe. Swift managed to build upon her success by releasing Speak Now almost two year later. The popularity of Swift only grew over her next three albums - Red (2012) 1989 (2014) and Reputation (2017) -- and saw her move confidently into the realm of pop that she had already been a part of. In the end, when she refocused her music to the stripped-down versions of 2020, folklore, and Evermore but she was still in the top spot. This position was maintained with the re-recordings she had made from her earlier catalog as in Midnights the synth-based chart-topper 2022 album.
