Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist as well as a businessperson. She was a co-founder of The Huffington Post the founder and CEO of Thrive Global and the author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington is the TV host, journalist writer, television philanthropist and author for more than 10 years. She also is the owner of The Huffington Post, an free-of-cost online newsmagazine. Born in Greece she came to England when she was 16 and graduated at the age of 16 from Cambridge University with an MA in Economics. The first non-native English speaking student, she was elected to the presidency of The Cambridge Union' at the age of 21. When she graduated, she made her name as a conservative syndicated columnist and, with the advent of The Huffington Post' few months later, she created a voice-based website that provided critical views on the political scenario. The fame of her name helped to get a number of prominent contributors to post their views about news from the world of politics and culture. Arianna was famous when she announced in 2003 that she would be an independent candidate for the California Recall Election, to succeed Governor Davis. Additionally she also led the Detroit Project for fuel-efficient cars. In 2009, she was ranked by Forbes as one of the most influential women in media. She was ranked 12th place on the list and in the same year, Guardian included her in the Top 100 Media list. AOL Inc. purchased The Huffington Post in 2011 and appointed her as director of its media company that also includes other AOL properties like Engadget AOL Music Style list as well as Patch Media. Their parents are Elli as well as Konstantinos Stasinopoulos. They were a management consultant and journalist. Though she was close to her father it was the relationship she shared with her mother, which formed her entire life. Through her early time, she showed the qualities of a leader for which she is still well-known. at the age of 16 she relocating to the United Kingdom to pursue her education and was enrolled at Girton College Cambridge. She joined Cambridge Union, the Cambridge Union college debate society throughout her college years in which she became the third female to serve as president. She graduated in 1972 with master's degrees in Economics. After her graduation she worked as a columnist critic, and hosting a show on TV. Additionally, she was a guest alongside Bernard Levin in an episode of Face the music and started making books with his editorial assistance.
