Paula Patton (born in 1960) is an American actress. She has also produced films such as Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol. The majority of her childhood was spent living in Los Angeles where she came from a family of middle-class. The mother of her children was a film buff and instilled a love of films into her daughter. Paula was active in her school's co-curricular activities and was particularly drawn to the dramatic arts. She played with her classmates as well as participated in school productions. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School produced a number of plays. The actress decided that acting was her chosen career. She was enrolled at The University of Southern California in an intensive summer course and loved her time there. She was given a three month project to create documentaries for PBS. As soon as she completed the three-month assignment successfully, her first job was in the field of production for documentaries on television. Next, she was going to start producing documentaries. However, she had always wanted to work as an actress even though she was happy in her present job. Her career in acting started with a minor role alongside Will Smith in the romantic comedy Hitch. Her roles have since been seen in many films and TV series.
