King Von

KingKing Von was actually Dayvon Daquan Bennett. He was born in Chicago on the 9th of August 1994, and was the son of Walter and Taesha. Three of his siblings are his mother's as well as six half-siblings of his came directly from the father. His father was often locked up in jail, so Bennett was mostly raised by his mother. Bennett was just 11 and his father had been shot down and killed. Bennett spent his 16th year in prison. This was the beginning of an ongoing series of confrontations with police. After the release of Bennett, he earned college credit from South Suburban College, South Holland, Illinois. In an effort to rehabilitate himself following further legal troubles, Bennett began pursuing his musical career, and was collaborating frequently with fellow rapper Lil Durk.Although "Welcome to O'Block" was the only studio album Von released during his lifetime and posthumously, an album titled "What It Means to be King" made its debut posthumously in the month of March 2022.
