Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone (pronounced [di:pIka p@dUko:ne":" or "pa:dUko:n]; born 5 January 1986) is an Indian actress who works predominantly in Hindi film productions. Her accolades include the three Filmfare Awards. She is also among the country's most highly paid actors. Time magazine also named her one of 100 people who are influential around the globe in 2018. The award also included with the TIME100 Impact Award for 2022. Padukone is the daughter the player of badminton Prakash Padukone, was born in Copenhagen and raised in Bangalore. In her teens Padukone played badminton in tournaments on a national scale. In the end, she quit the sport to pursue a profession as a fashion designer. Padukone soon got offers for movie roles. She started her acting career in 2006 as the title character of The Kannada film, Aishwarya. Padukone then played a dual role opposite Shah Rukh Khan in her debut Bollywood release, the romance Om Shanti Om (2007) that won her the Filmfare Award for Best Female debut. Padukone was recognized for her role as the lead in the love story Love Aaj Kal (2009) however, this was immediately followed by a delay.
